      Bajaj Pulsar 150NS launch expected in May

      Bajaj Auto, the homegrown two-wheeler maker seems aggressive with its product strategy for the highly competitive two-wheeler market in India. The company has recently launched three all new Pulsar models - RS200, AS200 and AS150 in the country, and it is now planning to launch one more Pulsar within next couple of months. The next Pulsar will be the much-awaited 150 NS, which will come as a replacement for the ageing Pulsar 150. It will be based on the new perimeter frame that also underpins the newly launched AS150.

      The new 150NS will be more powerful and efficient than the existing 150 DTS-i. It will share the overall styling with the larger 200NS. The bike is equipped with new sporty design, new instrument cluster and split seat. It will share the engine spec with the 149.5cc petrol engine that also powers the AS 150. This engine churns out 16.8bhp of power at 9500rpm and 13Nm of peak torque at 7500rpm. Power is transmitted to roads via a five-speed gearbox. This bike rides on 17-inch alloy wheels shod with 80/100/R17 front and 110/80/R17 rear tubeless tyres. The suspension mechanism of the bike comprises of telescopic upfront and monoshock suspension unit at the rear.

      The Pulsar 150NS will rival against the likes of Suzuki Gixxer, Honda CB Unicorn 160, Yamaha FZ F1 V2.0. It is expected to be priced around Rs. 72,000, while the semi-faired version is tagged at Rs. 79,000.
