The Bajaj CT100 will be made more affordable with a price tag of under Rs 35,000. The CT 100, which is Bajaj’s entry-level motorcycle, was re-launched last year for the Indian bike market. It was only being exported before last year. Bajaj even introduced the Platina CS, which got the DTS-i engine, while the CT 100 has the regular 97cc engine.

"We are stretching the envelope at both the commuter and premium ends, but our biggest focus is going to be on the new brand in the executive segment this year, which will give us incremental volumes," said Eric Vas, president Bajaj Auto during a press conference.

Bajaj at the same time is working towards reaching the 100kmpl fuel efficiency mark with the Platina. Bajaj is looking at introducing a new brand that will be powered by a 150cc engine and this will be a segment below the Discover. There will even be a 125cc engine powering a new bike under this brand.

Bajaj is working towards a leisure segment motorcycle as well which will be showcased sometime this year. This new bike will be competing with Royal Enfield and will be powered by the new 375cc engine that Bajaj has developed with KTM’s inputs. Bajaj will be focusing on getting more powerful bikes this year.
