Bajaj Auto registered a two per cent growth in the month of August, this year when tallied with the same duration last year. The renowned automobile manufacturer has recorded the highest sale in respect of monthly numbers. Riding high on this statistics, the company had posted an overall growth percentage of eight per cent. Apart from internal sales numbers, the exported numbers have also risen by quite a margin. As per the records, the number reached 175127 as of August 2014. Thus, the net boost was that of 21 per cent when compared to August, 2013. Though the growth was pretty meagre, it is believed that the margin will see a hefty difference in the coming few months.
The festive season is also round the corner and it is believed that the sales will increase. Bajaj Auto expects that the overall sales will cross the 4 lakhs mark during this interval. The sale of scooters will have a huge contribution to this number as the market is expected to witness a hike soon. However, Bajaj will also focus on the sale and export of motorcycles as well as there is huge demand and potential for such two-wheelers in a number of nations worldwide.
Last month witnessed the release of two new variants of the Discover bikes, the Discover 150F and 150S. The plan to hike the number of Pulsar models is also in the pipeline. Altogether, Bajaj is gearing up to take the sales reports to the next level in this current fiscal.
