      Bajaj Auto unveils the V - the Invincible

      The much awaited motorcycle from Bajaj Auto has finally been unveiled, named ‘V’. The bike has been introduced in Ebony Black and Pearl White shades. Speaking more on the bike at the lunch event, Mr. Eric Vas, President Motorcycle business stated, “The Bajaj V shall usher a new era in commuter motorcycling. We believe the Indian customers buying a commuter motorcycles deserves something that is substantial, solid and which moves with a sense of purpose. The V was designed and built to be invincible, and will change the experience of commuter biking much like the Pulsars changed sports biking.”

      The bike comes with a 149.5cc single cylinder, 4-stroke SOHC 2 valve air cooled engine that generates about 12bhp of power at 7,500 rpm and 13Nm of torque at 5,500. The bike comes with a unique USP of featurinf metal sourced from decommissioned warship INS Vikrant. In terms of design the bike comes with 55/60W trapezoidal headlamps that offers 60% brighter illumination than the rest. Additionally, the bike gets removable rear seat cowl, new speedometer cluster, dual color LED fuel level indicator and elegant taillamp assembly.

      The bike would be priced around Rs 60,000 with sales to commence from March this year. Adding further Vas added, “The V contains metal from India’s first and most celebrated aircraft carrier, the eartswhile INS Vikrant. We are proud that lakhs of Indian citizens can now touch the metal of the legendary INS Vikrant.”
