A senior official of Bajaj Auto believes that 2014 will be a good year for two-wheeler sector. Notably, the sector is going through a bad tenure from last two years and things are now expected to change for a better tomorrow by the turn of 2013. Petrol prices and inflation rate have acted as a barrier for the growth of country's two-wheeler sector for the last couple of years. Also, during this year, the growth represented no sign of relief, said the Marketing Manager for two-wheelers at Bajaj Auto, Shyam Sundar Narayan.

Interestingly, as the market witnessed slight improvement in the sentiments of buyers, 2014 is anticipated to be comparatively better. Owing to the same, the auto maker is planning to introduce two new models in the Indian auto market in 2014. Also, both the models will be showcased at the Auto Expo 2014, which is scheduled for February. It must be noted that Bajaj Auto rejoices with a market share of 47 per cent in sports segment. The company sell around 8.5 lakh units every month in the country, among which 1.30 lakh units are dedicated to sports model.

Speaking on the company's target regions, Narayan said that Bajaj Auto is tapping on all top 10 cities of the country, including Metros. Reportedly, these regions are good for selling 150 to 200 cc motorcycles.
