The very first International Automotive Show is going on currently in Pune in India. It is the first of its kind in the industry and has been well planned in Pune. Chakan near Pune is expected to be shaping up like the next Detroit where nearly all major car makers are making their foray and setting up their manufacturing units.
The Automotive show was inaugurated on 14 May by Dr. Thomas Dahlem, Technical Director, Volkswagen India. He was also the Chief Guest for the inaugural function at the newly set up Auto Cluster Exhibition Centre, Chinchwad, Pune. The exhibition shall end on 17th May 2008.
The main theme of the event is ““Solutions for Automotive Manufacturing”. The exhibitions shall have several technological highlights from the industry and it shall be showcasing high-end technology solutions in Robotics, Automation, Engineering Services, Painting and Welding solutions and Machine tools for the Automotive industry.
Several vendors from the Automotive shall be marking their presence at first ever event of its kind. Auto lovers, engineers and visitors would find L&T, Siemens, PARI Robotics, Kuka Robotics, Motoman Robotics, Gudel, ABB Robotics, Rockwell Automation, Honeywell Automation, Fraunhofer - Germany, CETIM - France, Jyoti CNC Automation, Electronica Machine Tools, Mitutoyo, etc. showcasing the best of their technological advances. The exhibition remains open from 10 am till 7 pm each day.
