      Automotive majors to hire talent at job fair

      JM Patel and RM Patel College located at Bhandara in Maharashtra, has planned to initiate a grand job fair at its campus on June 19 and 20, 2012. The attempt by institution will be the ideal stand for unemployed youths of the region. It is anticipated that over 3,000 individuals from the technical field will benefit from the event. The job fair will be jointly organised by Society of Indian Automobile Manufacturers (SIAM) and Automotive Component Manufacturers Association of India (ACMAI). This fair is scheduled at the request of Union Heavy Industries Minister Praful Patel.

      SIAM and ACMAI are considered as the pivotal organisations engaged in the development of automobile field in India. Companies like Ashok Leyland, Honda Siel, Volkswagen, Tata Motors, General Motors, and Toyota Kirloskar are members of SIAM. Component manufacturers like Bharat Forge, Bharat Gears, Tata Yazaki and Rico Auto Industries fall under the ambit of ACMAI.

      Principal of JM Patel and RM Patel College, Dr. Vikas Dhomane who is also the Chief Coordinator of job fair, quoted that “We have received 3,500 applications till date. Every applicant will be given interview call. Those who have not received the calls will be accommodated in the interview process after their documents are verified. Special arrangements are being made for those who have not applied but want to appear for interview. We will see to it that no one is deprived of his right to seek a job. The interviews will be held on June 19 and 20 and each candidate will appear for interview of two companies. The selected candidates will be accommodated as apprentices, temporary or permanent employee of the company.” He further added, “I hope each applicant gets a job.”

      This unique job fair in Bhandara is the first-ever to be held in the country where the big players of Indian auto industry will converge to find new resources. Around 300 employees from Gondia Education Society are working tirelessly to ensure that this event passes successfully.
