Auto Expo 2012 to be overflowed by foreign players

As the current year starts to pack its bags and give way to 2012, the 11th edition of Asia's largest automotive show, Auto Expo, would welcome the New Year with best-in-class vehicles inundating the event. Many new products originating from a wide range of car makers would be on display at Delhi’s Pragati Maidan, the venue of the event.

Chandrajit Banerjee, Director General, Confederation of Indian Industry (CII), gripped by nostalgia, said, “In 2010, we had celebrated our silver jubilee and today it had become a mega event.” This time around, the show is expected to be flooded with foreign participation, along with the giants hailing from Germany and China. Moreover, the Indian manufacturers are in no mood to go unnoticed as 16 mass pullers are all-set to make the best use of 10 hangers and outdoor space those measures 115000 square metres.

As per Rajive Kaul, Chairman, Steering Committee, Auto Expo 2012, the auto sector of India has raised the bars for the economy, as a whole, considerably. “The auto industry is becoming the pride of the Indian industry, in fact it is becoming a major player internationally.” The Indian automotive industry has been experiencing limitless participation of companies based internationally and their inclination is on a pinnacle at present.

While most auto industries in the world are struggling and witnessing worst outcomes, India, against all odds, is among the few markets that are maintaining the momentum. Moreover, the Indian auto industry has been offering unlimited potential for growth and coveted platforms that assure to raise positions in the near future. As a matter of fact, most global players are on the same page when it comes to India and aim to seek a growth path and tap expansion opportunities in the Indian auto sector.

S. Sandilya, President, Society of Indian Automobile Manufacturers Association of India (SIAM) echoed, “All eyes are currently on India. Based on the feedback, we have made changes this time.”

In view of the flat performance that dominates the market at present, the Auto Expo would prove to be a booster in the coming time. Opening with the theme ‘Mobility for all’, the show would irrefutably satiate the expectations of the Indian consumers, and place India among the industries that top the list of promoters of Green Mobility.

There will be a major presence of exhibitors at the 2012 Auto Expo that are based in Canada, Belarus, people’s Republic of China, France, Germany, Hong Kong, Japan, Malaysia, Netherlands, Portugal, Russia, Switzerland, Thailand, Turkey and UAE.

Thus, Auto Expo 2012 has been subjected to a number of new features and attributes that allow it to attract more and more participants every time.
