New Delhi prepares itself to welcome the highly anticipated 12th edition of Asia's largest automotive event, the Auto Expo 2012, yet again. The mega event that pulls car makers and visitors in abundance is a joint effort of Automotive Component Manufacturers Association of India (ACMA), Confederation of Indian Industry and Society of Indian Automobile Manufacturers (SIAM).

The show is slated to kick-off from 7th January 2012 at Pragati Maidan, New Delhi and would go on till 11th January. Maintaining its standards and scale, the Auto Expo 2012 is gearing up to showcase interminable futuristic technologies, latest vehicles, all-new components and much more. Thus, the auto show would once again serve as a platform that can be used by car makers to promote their current position in the market and increase their visibility among buyers.

The venue for the 12th edition of the popular auto event is quite accessible and both public as well as personal conveyance can be used to reach the location. As buses are most banked upon transport to travel in Delhi, visitors can make use of regular bus services being available at inter-state bus terminals. The inter-state terminals in the city include Kashmiri Gate ISBT in Northern Delhi, Anand Vihar ISBT in Trans-Yamuna area and Sarai Kale Khan ISBT in Southeast Delhi.

The airports have round the clock Pre Paid Government and Private Taxi Services that are viable modes of transport to reach Pragati Maidan. Airport Express, the Metro that runs specifically for airport passengers can be boarded from Indira Gandhi International Airport (T3) from 05:00 am to 11:00 pm, which has a frequency of 20 minutes. The Airport Express operates between Dwarka Sector 21 and New Delhi Railway Station.

There are frequent shuttle services that can be availed from the airport exits. The buses connect the airport premises to the central parts of Delhi which include Connaught Place & ISBT. Delhi International Airport Limited (DIAL) has shuttle buses that are on offer within every 15 minutes.

The Delhi Metro which is irrefutably the fastest mode of transport in Delhi has offered immense convenience to the public, compared to other conveyances. As a result, the Metro line serves as a life-line for the Delhiites. As a matter of fact, Pragati Maidan connects well with the Delhi Metro, wherein trains reach the venue directly via Dwarka to Vaishali and vice versa from Pragati Maidan.

Thus, Auto Expo 2012 vows to put up an electrifying show in the coming time, besides being a shot in the arm for most of the car makers, of which some are desperately in search of ways to survive.
