Auto Expo 2012 plays host to Hyundai Elantra Fluidic

Hyundai India has showcased the new edition of the Elantra sedan at the 2012 New Delhi Auto Expo, which has been developed on its popular Fluidic platform. This next-generation car boasts of stylish and sporty design, which will appeal more to the people aged between 20 and 40 years.

The Korean manufacturer offers this car with two engine options – a 1.8 L Dual VTVT engine and a 1.6 L CRDI engine. The two engines are complemented by VGT technology as well as 6 speed manual and automatic transmission systems. In terms of dimensions, the car measures 4530 mm in length, 1775 mm in width and 1435 mm in height. The company has used tyres of 205/60/ R16 size and 16 inch alloy wheels in the car and given it a wheelbase of 2700 mm.

The notable features of the car include front row ventilated seats, six airbags, smart key with push start button, solar glass, electric sunroof, rain sensors, sporty pedal and electronically adjustable foldable outside mirrors with turn indicators. In terms of entertainment, the company has provided the car with a 2DIN audio MP3 player with Bluetooth and steering-mounted controls. Electro Chromic Mirror (ECM) with rearview camera will assist drivers in parking the car safely. It is expected to give tough competition to other cars of the segment, like Honda Civic, Toyota Corolla Altis and Chevrolet Cruze.
