      Auto Expo 2012: Over 200,000 visitors throng the Shreyans Hall

      The 11th edition of the Delhi Auto Expo started from 5th January and went on till the 11th January. One of the most popular halls at the Auto Expo proved to be the Shreyans Hall as it witnessed more than 200,000 guests. The Hall included brands like Ferrari, Ducati, Bombardier Recreational Products (BRP) and Maserati. It also received over 250 enquiries from potential customers.

      Ashish Chordia, Chairman, Shreyans, said “It is heartening to see the overwhelming response of the visitors visiting our hall at the Auto Expo 2012. The response reaffirms our belief that there is huge enthusiasm and curiosity for our products making India an important market for all the brands we represent – BRP, Ducati, Ferrari, Maserati and Porsche.”

      Models like Maserati Quattroporte, Ducati Monster 795, Can Am Spyder, Porsche Cayenne and the Ferrari California garnered much interest. The Ferrari California is exclusively a racing car equipped for the first time ever with a V8 engine that is mid-front mounted and completely constructed of aluminium. It has a displacement of 4,300 cc and generates a maximum power of 460 hp at 7,750 rpm. The maximum torque delivered by the car is 485 Nm at 5,000 rpm. This powerful model takes lesser than 4 seconds to accelerate from 0 to 100 kmph and has a top speed of 310 kmph. The price range of this car starts from Rs. 2.27 crores (ex-showroom price).

      The other immensely popular model at the Auto Expo was the Ferrari FF that is being termed as the most powerful car ever by Ferrari. It is a four-seater, four wheel drive equipped with a mid-front V12 that delivers a power of 660 hp. This model is the first ever Ferrari to be a four-wheel drive that blends excellent sports car performance with adaptability of the authentic GT. It carries a price tag starting from Rs. 3.42 crores (ex-showroom).

      In the Maserati range, Maserati Quattroporte proves to be popular and shows consistency in terms of sales and on-road performance. Apart from the Quattroporte the other models of the Maserati fleet includes Quattroporte S and the Quattroporte Sport GT S. The higher version of the Quattroporte range is the Quattroporte Sport GT S. These models are equipped with 4.7-litre V8 engine that generates 440 hp of power at 7,000 rpm. The Quattroporte Sport GT S maintains Quattroporte S’s torque of 490 Nm, however delivers it more powerfully. The price of the Quattroporte range starts from Rs. 1.2 crores (ex-showroom). Other famous models at the Shreyans Hall were Porsche Carrera and Porsche Cayenne S Hybrid.

      The Two-wheeler range at the Shreyans Hall displayed Ducati’s motorcycle fleet of Superbikes, Multistrada, Monster and the Diavel. On 6th of January, Ducati revealed the latest 2012 Monster 795 motorcycle built especially for the Asian customers.
