DC Design, a well known name in the field of car designing and customization, has now come-up with its highly ambitious supercar – Avanti – to take its car designing initiative one step ahead. The DC Design Avanti, which was unveiled by one of the most popular Bollywood actor Amitabh Bachchan, is proving a showstopper at the show. The car has created a huge excitement among the car enthusiasts at the auto expo 2012, making it a major attraction at the show.
While elaborating the DC Design’s ambitious car project Avanti, Dilip Chhabria, the guiding tour-de-force at DC Design, said, “The Indian market for high end automobiles is on a steep uphill curve as witnessed year-on-year and our focus is at the top end of this rarified niche. The design is completely our very own as is the engineering and also the production process. Type approval and on-road tests would follow soon and we intend to simultaneously set up an all new facility at Talegaon near Pune to build this vehicle.”
The car will be offered in two engine options including a 265 bhp turbo four cylinder engine that will be sourced from Ford and a 400 hp six cylinder engine sourced from Honda. A six-speed Dual clutch transmission will be offered as standard. The car is expected to be offered with a competitive price tag of Rs 25 lakh.
