What you see in the pictures is the first sighting of the Audi e-tron electric SUV. The heavily camouflaged prototype was spotted testing in Europe and although it was masked extensively, the body lines are similar to theconcept car Audi showcased earlier. Especially the front-end with those sleek head lights and large grille.

However, there are finer updates to the front fascia like the grille, air intakes and other details for it to be production ready. Also, the test car’s sloping roof-line isn’t as aggressive as the concept e-tron. But that said, the prominent ridge beneath the rear window-line continues to lend the prototype a strong character.

Reports claim that the Audi e-tronwill be recipient to three electric motors -two of which will be situated at the rear, and one at the front. These motors will work closely with a 95kWh batteryand make a total output of close to 435bhp, while still offering a range of about 500km.

Audi’s e-tronis slated to roll out of their Brussels plant in 2018, and we will bring you more news in the months to come.
