Audi India, the Indian unit of the leading German luxury car maker Audi AG, on Friday signed the motorsport driver Aditya Patel. The Indian driver signed a 3 year contract with the German auto giant, securing a seat in Pro-Handicap e.V. Team for the VLN endurance series scheduled in Germany.
While speaking on the company’s new association with this Indian racing driver, Mr. Michael Perschke, Head at Audi India, said,"The talent pool of race car drivers in India is growing rapidly and we plan to develop young racers by providing them with the right opportunities to make a career in international motorsport. Aditya is a talented racer and our support to him is a testament to that vision."
It has been almost a decade since Aditya is in the motorsport career. The promising Indian driver entered in the motorsport racing arena at the age of 14 years, in the JK Tyre National Racing Championship, 2001. Aditya has been taking part in a number of prestigious motor sport racing tournaments including VW Scirocco R Cup and VW Polo R Cup in Germany.
