      Audi gears-up for Delhi Auto Expo, to showcase three new car models

      The Indian unit of the Germany based leading luxury car maker Audi is all set to display three new cars at the forth coming Delhi Auto Expo in January 2012. Besides the new cars, the company will also showcase its entire range of technology concepts at the expo. The new models that will be showcased at the auto expo include A3 sedan’s all new futuristic e-tron series, all new sporty S6 limousine and a new model of its popular Q-series of SUV's.

      Audi is currently the third largest luxury car maker in the Indian market following BMW and Mercedes Benz at the first and second spots, respectively. In the first 10 months of year 2011 (January to October), Audi India managed to sell 4,692 cars in the Indian market, accounting a sales surge of 85 percent over the sales registered in the same period last year. Audi’s growth in this period was much higher as compared to its rivals like BMW and Mercedes Benz.

      In a recent statement, Michael Perschke, head at Audi India, said, "India stands next to important Audi markets such as China and USA, and is poised to become a bigger volume generator.” He added, “Keeping in mind the bigger potential, we will also showcase some new vehicles and technology new options for our customer as we plan to maintain our lead in sales growth next year too."

      India is among the top 10 strategic markets for Audi and the company looks forward to bring in fully-charged bandwagon for the Indian market.
