Aston Martin Lagonda Limited has been a distinguished auto maker in the sports luxury segment for almost a century. The supreme automotive group is acclaimed for its elegant design with a giant under the bonnet capable of exterminating any road. With a disparate range of Vanquish, Vantage and DB models, the British manufacturer was lacking something until it launched the final assault and calling it One-77. The name was derived from the fact that a limited collection of 77 cars was manufactured and launched in 2010, worldwide. The Coupe, till date, is an indisputable, indestructible mean machine and is the end product of the sheer dedication of company's innovative think tank. It seems that road was not enough for riding this car and planned to straight away launch the new creation.

The iconic manufacturer has always kept the concept of built and power in proportion, keeping the limit to not more than 573 bhp. But with One-77, it apparent forgot calculations and built a super-machine muscular enough to achieve feats that are otherwise unthinkable. The carbon fibre monocoque structure flaunts long stretched lines engraved over the bonnet and reaching till doors, emulsifying the aero-dynamical bodykit of the whole composition. The car's manifest charm is tempting to the onlooker, invoking a feeling that there is not a single visual flaw in it.

Under the carbon body is a mammoth 7.3-litre Cosworth-fettled V12 front mid-mounted unit, claimed to be the world's most powerful naturally aspirated engine. Squeezing an enormous 750 bhp and a peak torque of 750 Nm with a 6-speed automated manual transmission, One-77 became the first hyper car from Aston Martin. And if these figures do not astonish enough, there is a lot more to this car. This model blisters from 0 kmph to 100 kmph in just 3.7 seconds and has the potential to reach a top speed of 354 kmph. The rear wheel drive also possesses lightweight stainless steel sports exhaust system with active bypass valves.

Interiors and exteriors feature aluminium pieces properly milled into the body. Front end flaunts bi-xenon headlamps with integrated LED side lights and carbon fibre splitters while the rear end sports LED lamps, deployable spoilers and carbon fibre diffusers. A remarkably rich usage of fine quality leather is seen inside, providing superior levels of comfort. Riding the One-77 provided a genuine amount of joy to experts and elite customers, enabling all models manufactured to be sold out in no time. India also saw the launch of this car with a hefty price tag of Rs. 20 crore. In a country where houses are bought at a much cheaper rate, the car only appealed to opulent niches of the society. Only 5 models were supposedly booked and out of which, one unit was purchased. Still, 3 years after its launch, Aston Martin followers are keen to see the new avatar of the super vehicle and this time the number of 77 might not just be enough.
