The leading British luxury car maker, will be launching its operations in the Indian market on 15th April. The company will roll-out its range of cars in India in a ceremony at Nariman Point in Mumbai. The company has selected Performance car, a division of infinity Cars Pvt. Ltd, as the sole disributor of the Aston Martin cars in the Indian market.
The occasion is expected be graced by the presence of a number of top level officials of the company including Mr. Michael Van Der Sande, Chief Commercial Officer and Director of Design - Mr. Marek Reichmann.
The Aston Martin was a unit of Ford Motor Co. till year 2007, after which it was sold to a joint venture company co-owned by businessmen John Sinders and David Richards and Adeem Investment and Investment Dar of Kuwait for $848 million.
The company is initially expected to launch its Rapide model in the Indian market which will come powered by a 6000 cc V12 engine. The car is exected to be rolled-out with a price tag of Rs 2,60,00,000 in the country. The other Aston Martin cars which are also expected to to be launched in the country include DBS, the DB9 and the Vantage.
