      Ashok Leyland introduces advanced version of Stallion 6x6 at 2012 Delhi DEFEXPO

      Ashok Leyland has introduced a new Stallion 6x6, which is upgraded on the grounds of appearance and performance as compared to its existing version. The new version is incorporated with a performance oriented, common rail diesel engine that has potential to churn an impressive power of 221 bhp while a peak torque of 800 Nm. In order to deliver a hassle free drive, the engine of this vehicle is mated to an automatic transmission system. With this configuration, the new Stallion 6x6 ensures an improved running capabilities and sustainable hold on mountainous terrains and hilly areas. Owing to the potential and design of new Stallion 6x6, it can be used as water and fuel browsers, troop carriers, LRV and as a base vehicle to mount command control posts and communication devices.

      Stallion 6x6 has a decent driver cabin, which includes bucket seats, air-conditioning system and a driver information display panel. The vehicle also includes an emergency power steering, which is particularly designed to offer advantages while dealing with unwanted road conditions. New Stallion 6x6 is also incorporated with a special Semi-Automatic Tyre Inflation System that helps the vehicle to sustain in different type of topographies. In addition, with the incorporation of parabolic spring suspension system, the vehicle has improved driving comfort. Ashok Leyland has already introduced these vehicles at the Royal Thai Army and is also performing in the Honduras as well as South Africa.

      Moreover, the Stallion 6x6 is equipped with an impressive Fleet Management System that provides efficiency in functioning as well as ability to trail fuel, fleet usage and other service difficulties. This single interface system can be easily controlled by drivers, managers and maintenance professionals. Ashok Leyland also organises service camps for customers, wherein model rooms are established throughout the country to guide the operation personnel and prolongation of the Stallion fleet. The eastern command has a spare parts store, through where the customers can obtain original parts that provides the vehicle with notch maintenance and smooth running.
