Aravind KP has emerged as winner in the MRF National Supercross Championship, which was held over the weekend at makeshift CODISSIA track in Coimbatore. Aravind's heroics on the track saw him claim the title of Foreign Open Class (250 – 500cc category). Notably, this title was achieved in the fifth and final leg of the MRF FMSCI MOGRIP National Supercross Championship.

Interestingly, Aravind KP entered the final leg with a healthy lead of 31 points over his nearest competitor Javed Shaikh but he still required a win to guarantee a title. Earlier, during the first Moto, Aravind could not finish off things neatly and had to be content with the third position. As a result, he only earned 16 points, which were insufficient to claim the title. The first Moto saw Aravind's TVS Racing team mate Harith Noah get away with the victory. However, in the second Moto, Aravind managed to put on a really good show to claim the title of Foreign Open Class (250 – 500cc category). Here, he rode confidently, executing neat jumps to finish with 173 points in style, which were enough to secure the title.

In the other Indian Experts Group B and C categories, it was Promod Joshua of TVS racing who emerged as the title winner. Also, in novice class in Group C, Suhail Ahmed finished with a winning streak.
