The Chairman and Managing Director of Mahindra and Mahindra, Anand Mahindra, has been appointed to the coveted position of the new Trustee for Natural History Museum of London. With this effort, it is expected that Mahindra will add a tinge of expertise in business as well as leadership. His initial co-opted appointment is for a four-year period starting from January 1st, 2015.
Anand has held a number of important and progressively senior roles in Mahindra Group. He had started his career with Mahindra Ugine Steel Company (MUSCO). He has a MBA degree from the Harvard Business School, after completing an undergraduate degree from the same Harvard College.
Lord Green, chairman of the Trustees of the Natural History Museum said about the appointment, “Anand Mahindra’s renowned business acumen and international vision is an excellent addition to our board. I am delighted to welcome him as a Trustee and look forward to working with him to forge even stronger links with the global business community.”
Anand Mahindra said about his appointment, “I am deeply honoured by this appointment and look forward to contributing my thoughts and ideas to the board.
