Italian auto maker Ferrari is quite popular and cars launched by this firm are eagerly awaited by car aficionados across the globe. According to recent reports, the fastest car produced by the firm, LaFerrari, has been sold out. This limited edition car was on the wish-list of many car buyers throughout the world but unfortunately for many, the keys of this mean machine will stay with only 499 lucky people. As per reports from a prominent news channel, from the 499 units of LaFerrari, 120 were meant for the North American market, which were sold out as well. Speaking to a prominent news channel, Marco Mattiacci, President and Chief Executive Officer at Ferrari North America, said, “This car is going to be the benchmark of the auto industry. The combination of incredible design, Italian heritage, make this car the hottest car in the world right now." He made these comments during the first time unveiling of this super car.

There are a number of reasons that makes the LaFerrari much more exclusive than other limited edition cars from brands across the world. In the first place, the price tag of this car was quite high, a colossal $1.4 million. Apart from this, just having the money does not make customers eligible to buy the LaFerrari. It was being said that only people who owned a minimum number of models from this brand were eligible to buy LaFerrari, something that is quite unique. Many industry experts consider this model to be a 'once in a generation' car, which can be compared only to vehicles like Lamborghini Veneno and McLaren P1. Even the Italian car maker, sources claim, is really proud of this creation. Also, the marketing strategy adopted by the car maker has worked out really well although a product like this did not need any promotion to be sold. This car runs on a 6.3-litre V12 engine that delivers a power level of around 963 bhp.

LaFerrari, perhaps, is the most ambitious undertaking by the Fiat-owned luxury brand since Enzo, which was introduced in the market in 2002. Experts have marvelled at the fact that despite such a high cost, this car has been sold out in a space of just a couple of months. Strong rumours have surfaced in recent times, which claim that many celebrities were in line to buy LaFerrari. This list included Portuguese superstar and Real Madrid winger Cristiano Ronaldo, who is the owner of a number Ferrari cars. Interestingly, Ronaldo, according to reports, was not eligible to buy LaFerrari as he did not own the minimum number of cars from the brand. It would be really interesting to see whether the former Manchester United star adds this supercar to his collection.
