      All new Rover Evoque launched in India at starting price tag of Rs 44.75 lakh

      Jaguar Land Rover, the British subsidiary of the Indian auto giant Tata Motors, has launched its all new luxury sports utility vehicle – Range Rover Evoque – in the Indian market on Friday. The new Range Rover SUV carries a starting price tag of Rs 44.75 lakh (ex-showroom Mumbai) and is available in four variants including one petrol and three diesel versions.

      While speaking to the reporters in Mumbai on the occasion of the launch, Tata Motors managing director PM Telang said, "The Range Rover Evoque is a very important addition to the Land Rover and Range Rover portfolio. This car has excited audiences across the world and we expect the same from the discerning customers here." He added that a lot of enquiry has been coming for this product and the company thinks it will be well accepted and become popular.

      The Evoque model was introduced to the world market in September 2011 at the Frankfurt Motor Show, where it had attracted a large number of visitors and car enthusiasts. The SUV has been rolled-out in both five door and coupe version in the country. While the five door version has been offered in diesel versions, the coupe version is offered in petrol version.

      Rohit Suri, Jaguar Land Rover India head of premier car division, said on the occasion, "The response to the Evoque has been phenomenal across the world. We have seen a lot of interest and excitement around this car in the country. Globally, we have received 30,000 bookings for this and we expect to see a significant number of bookings here as well."
