      All new 997 Porsche 911 to be launched at the Frankfurt Motor Show next month

      The all new 997 Porsche 911 is all set to hit the roads soon. Carrying a number of similarities with the outgoing 997 Porsche 911 model, the new 2012 Porsche 911 is blessed with the same classic styling and proportions. The major changes incorporated in the new generation 997 Porsche 911 include new thinner LED taillights and a refined engine unit. The car is about 2 inches longer as compared to its predecessor.

      Recently, a few spy pictures of the car were posted on a number of online blogs, fuelling speculations about the design and styling of the new car. However, the company is yet to come-out with actual details of the car.

      The base model of the car is powered by a 3.4-liter direct-injection flat-six cylinder engine which is capable of delivering a peak power of 350 hp along with a peak torque of 280 Nm. On the other hand, the higher variant Carrera S is joined with a 3.8L direct injected engine that delivers a peak power of 400 hp.

      Inside, the new 997 Porsche 911 is somewhat similar to the interior of Panamera model, though the central console carries a different downward sloping design. The car will mark its debut at the Frankfurt Motor Show in September 2011, where a number of luxury car makers will showcase their upcoming cars. The specifications and pricing of the car will be confirmed once the company unveils it at the Motor Show.
