      After 50 years, Ford Mustang finally available in overseas market

      The Mustang muscle car from Ford's stable has been a dream car for many but due to non-availability of the vehicle in the international market, people often ended up pinning the car photos on their personal desk or their room. The year 2015 shall bring joy on many faces as American carmaker Ford has finally decided to take the iconic Mustang to international market for the first time in its 50 years of existence.

      The first 100 units lot of 2015 Ford Mustang has reportedly already been shipped to China from Portland, Oregon. The company has stated that the new 2015 Ford Mustang shall be available in over 100 countries this year, including prime countries like - Australia, European countries, South Africa and others. Speaking more on this special occasion, Joe Hinrichs, Ford president of The Americas, said, “The success of our One Ford plan presents opportunities for growth in global markets. Exporting Ford and Lincoln vehicles to Asia Pacific and beyond is an important part of Ford’s global growth story. Mustang is just one more example of the international demand for Ford cars and trucks.” It India it is likely to hit showrooms sometime next year.

      It is said that Ford has already got about 3,000 employees working two shifts at the Flat Rock plant to make Mustang for international market. The plant is also used to build the popular selling Ford Fusion mid-size sedan. To aid with better global distribution, the company has reportedly also created 100 new jobs at Port of Portland, that shall be used as primary point to export Ford and Lincoln vehicles to China and Korea markets.
