ABS now standard for all variants of the Hyundai Xcent

The Hyundai Xcent now gets ABS (anti-lock braking system) and EBD (electronic brake force distribution) as standard across the range. This safety mechanism was previously offered only on the top spec variants of the compact sedan. The move comes in the wake of a central government rule that all cars sold after April 2019 should come fitted with ABS with EBD as standard across the range.

ABS now standard on the Xcent

All of the Xcent’s compact sedan rivals now offer ABS with EBD as standard across the range with the exception of Ford who has it as an optional extra for the entry-level model of the Aspire. But the Aspire will undergo a mid-life update soon and here the technology will become standard across the range.

The prices of the Xcent remain unchanged throughout and we believe that Hyundai will not increase prices, especially with the festival season not too far away. It seems more than likely that this change is going to be implemented on the Grand i10 very soon as both cars compete for various parts of the same segment.
