Amitabh Bachchan has confirmed on his Facebook page that his Mini Cooper was a birthday present from his son and daughter-in-law, Abhishek and Aishwarya. Hence, it was just all a misconception that the stunning car was a present for the couple's daughter Aaradhya Bachchan. The revelation from the iconic actor has highlighted one more incident when a few gossip-mongers came out with a speculation and the entire press media piled on accordingly.
On his Facebook page, clearing about the issue, Amitabh Bachchan was quoted as saying, “FB 89 - Second misconception: Abhishek presented a car to Aaradhya on her first birthday ... wrong. NO car was presented, instead a car was purchased by them to gift me on my birthday ... a Mini Cooper, which I love, and which has a number plate 2882.”
Evidently, news came up that Abhishek Bachchan and Aishwarya Rai Bachchan had purchased an ultra modish and swanky red Mini Cooper S premium hatchback, somewhere around the second half of November 2012. Kind of a coincident, the couples' first child and then just few months old, Aaradhya had her birthday on November 16. Accordingly, gossip prevailed that the Abhishek and Aishwarya had purchased the Mini Cooper S as 'first birthday' present for Aaradhya.
