      The much-anticipated Grand i10 sedan is all set to be unveiled by Hyundai during the upcoming 2014 Auto Expo event. The new sedan is expected to be powered by 1.4-litre diesel engine borrowed from the existing line of i20 premium hatchback. The engine generates about 89bhp and 219Nm of torque. The engine is mated to five-speed manual gearbox and shall power the front wheels. The upcoming sedan is expected to be available five variants, similar to the current line of Grand i10 hatchback. Overall, the vehicle design is new and refreshing, the car bears no resemblance to the hatchback version.

      Indian car-maker Maruti Suzuki has been in the news for its mysterious sedan codenamed the YL1. As per sources the diesel version shall feature 1.3-litre turbocharged multi jet engine that generates a decent power of 90 bhp and 200 Nm of torque. The upcoming sedan is expected to be available in five-speed manual transmission for the base version, whereas the top-end shall feature Automatic transmission.

      The lost in crowd SUV from Hyundai is set for a fresh start. The Hyundai Santa Fe is set for release with face-lift version to revive its market share. As per reports, the new version imbibes a Fluidic-derived Storm edge design philosophy. The SUV shall be powered by the same 2.2 litre diesel engine that produces an impressive 194 bhp with a torque output of 436 Nm. Two-wheel drive/Four-wheel drive pattern shall be available with an option to choose from Automatic transmission or Manual Transmission. The interiors in the Santa Fe is stated to be based on fluidic design. It features a GPS device, leather seats, sunroof and a convenient start-stop system for the engine. Legroom for the rear seats have also been worked upon and can seat upto three people with ease. The interiors look elegant with generous use of beige.

      Honda is all geared up to release its much loved Jazz hatchback. Along the petrol version, the car shall also be available with a 1.5-litre diesel engine. As per sources, Honda is expected to tune Jazz’s diesel engine to a lower 90 PS mark to extract better fuel efficiency and stay at par with competitors fuel efficiency scores. Reports suggest that Jazz being a hatchback, it shall be positioned below the Amaze line and may cost approximate Rs 6.5 lakh (ex-showroom Delhi). The car is expected to give tough competition to the likes of VW Polo and the Hyundai i20.

      Skoda Superb has been selling well in the Indian luxury car segment. The car is expected to come with a new facelift version during the 2014 Auto Expo event. The sedan is expected to be powered by the existing line of 2.0-litre TDI diesel. Transmission options include six-speed manual and a six-speed DSG automatic gearbox. The new version comes with only cosmetic upgrades, not many technical changes are expected.

      Renault Duster has always been in the news since it inception in the country a while ago. The SUV sold like hot cakes due to its quality build and reliability at a lucrative price tag at which it was being offered. Off late many other car-makers have attempted to tap this compact SUV segment with much vigour. Gone are the days when Renault Duster had to compete with Ford Ecosport. This year with planned launched for highly anticipated cars like Honda Vezel and XA Alpha, its time for Duster to come out with a twist. As per sources, the new car is expected to be powered with 1.6 litre engine that generates about 105 Hp at 5,750 rpm and produces a maximum torque of 148 Nm at 3,750 rpm. It is also said that the car may feature double optic headlamps with LED daytime running lights, and a redesigned front grill with new air intake system. On the interiors, seats have been redesigned for better comfort and the dashboard features a smarter appeal.

      As per sources, the Indian car manufacturer Mahindra plans to unveil its face-lifted version of Scorpio sometime in the middle of 2014. The changes are expected to be purely cosmetic in nature and the engine shall be retained with the existing line of 2.2 litre M-Hawk turbo diesel engine. It is anticipated that the power and torque figures could be increased from 120 bhp and 290 Nm of torque to 140 bhp and 330 Nm of torque.

      BMW is expected to launch the 3 Series GT in two variants; the 320d and the 330d. The former is expected to be powered by a 2.0-litre four-cylinder engine, whereas the latter is expected to get a 3.0-litre straight-six engine. Both the cars shall me mated to ZF eight-speed automatic and power the rear wheels.

      Fiat had recently announced it plans to unveil a new line of luxury SUV's for the Indian market. As per sources the company plans to initially launch two vehicles; the Cherokee and the Wrangler. Reports suggest that Cherokee focusses more on the luxury aspect, whereas the Wrangler is a no frills off-roader with a raw and masculine appearance. The SUV is expected in standard wheelbase two doors variant, and another with a longer wheelbase four doors variant is available. Both the SUV's shall be powered by a 2.8-litre diesel mill that produces 200PS and 460Nm of torque.
