On the pricing aspect, we expect that the redi-GO might be priced between Rs 2.5 lakh and Rs 3.5 lakh. The bookings for the redi-GO have commenced earlier this month for a token amount of Rs 5,000.

      Volkswagen Ameo: The Ameo will mark Volkswagen’s entry into the compact sedan segment. This car fills in the gap for customers who have been long waiting to see a compact sedan from the German automaker. In petrol, the Ameo will get a 1.2-litre MPI, three-cylinder engine that will generate 74bhp power and 110Nm of torque. The diesel on the other hand will get a 1.5-litre, four-cylinder engine which generates 89bhp of power and 230Nm of torque. For now, both the engines will come mated to a five-speed manual gearbox, while the DSG automatic might be introduced at a later date. We anticipate that the Ameo will be offered in a price range of Rs 6lakh – Rs 8 lakh.

The GLS will be offered with four engine options - GLS550 4Matic with a V8 biturbo engine that generates 443bhp of power and 700Nm of torque while the GLS450 4MATIC will get a 3.0-litre V6 biturbo engine which generates 357bhp of power and 760Nm of torque. The GLS350d 4MATIC gets a V6 diesel engine that generates 252bhp of power and 617Nm of torque and the top-of-the-range Mercedes-AMG GLS63 generates 569bhp of power and 760Nm of torque. The car is expected to be priced between Rs 80 lakh to Rs 1.5 crore.
