      3072 Units of Ford Fiesta recalled in India

      Ford India has issued a recall for its mid-sized sedan - the Fiesta. The company has recalled 3072 units of the Fiesta TDCi diesel. The new recall has been initiated at a Field Service Action to correct a product concern.

      Ford will rectify the Glow Plug Control Module for which it is directly contacting consumers and asking them to take their vehicles to the nearest Ford dealers. Their vehicles will get newly designed waterproof Glow Plug Control Module. It will be done free of cost.

      In July 2013, Ford India also replaced the same Glow Plug Control Module, but in the diesel variants of the EcoSport compact SUV. Adding to it, the company recalled over 1.66 lakh cars including the Figo hatchback and Classic sedan in September, 2013.

      Recently, as a part of global recall, Toyota Kirloskar Motor also recalled 119 units of the premium saloon- the Camry in the Indian car market. The company will rectify a possible defect in the front suspension of the saloon.

      In June 2014, Ford India launched the all-new Fiesta sedan and is only available in the diesel fuel options. It is priced at Rs. 7.69 lakh (ex-showroom, Delhi), and is powered by the 1.5-litre engine that is capable of producing 90bhp of top power.
