In order to celebrate the Guinness World Records Day, 28 people somehow managed to sit inside a BMW MINI and another 23 squeezed into a classic Mini. The team consisted entirely of women and they broke their previous record of 27 that they had set in 2011. Apart from occupying the seats, a few of them squeezed on to the dashboard and some of them adjusted themselves in the footwells. Another 4 managed to fit in the boot of the Mini. Thus, all 28 women got in the BMW Mini, setting a new World record. Once this was done, 23 of these flexible ladies then squeezed into a classic Mini, breaking the previous record of 21.
Every year, more than 4 lakh people around the world try to set new records on the annual Guinness World Records Day. Just like many others, the team of gym members from East Sussex tried their luck and managed to create a world record by adjusting 28 of them in BMW Mini and another 23 in classic Mini.
It was the eighth Guinness World Records day when these two records got created. The first of these Guinness World Records day was celebrated on November 15, 2004 when Guinness World Records became the best-selling copyright book of the world.
