Hyundai has introduced the updated Verna with a starting price of Rs. 10.98 lakh, ex showroom. The latest iteration introduces new exterior styling cues, additional equipment, and enhanced safety technologies including Level 2 ADAS.
Visually, the new Verna receives several exterior enhancements that give it a sharper and more contemporary look. These include a black chrome radiator grille, dual LED projector headlamps, redesigned front and rear bumpers and newly 16-inch diamond cut alloy wheels. Two new colour options have also been added to the palette including Classy Blue and Titan Grey Matte.
Inside, the sedan gets an updated interior layout with a new flat-bottom steering wheel and leatherette seat upholstery. The cabin also adds several convenience features such as an eight-way electrically adjustable driver seat with memory function and welcome retract feature.
The passenger seat now offers four way electric adjustment along with an electric walk in device, while a rear window sunshade and a smart trunk function have also been introduced.

Other equipment includes wireless Android Auto and Apple CarPlay, ventilated front seats, a wireless phone charger, a Bose eight speaker sound system and a switchable interface that allows users to toggle between infotainment and climate controls. New additions such as a surround view monitor and blind spot view monitor further enhance convenience and visibility while driving.
The Verna continues to be offered with two petrol engine options. The first is a 1.5-litre naturally aspirated unit paired with either a six speed manual gearbox or a CVT automatic transmission.
The second is a 1.5 litre turbo petrol engine that produces 158bhp and 253Nm of torque. This motor is available with either a six-speed manual gearbox or a seven-speed dual clutch automatic transmission.
Safety has been further strengthened with the introduction of Level 2 ADAS that offers 20 driver assistance functions. The sedan also features seven airbags including a centre side airbag, which Hyundai claims is a segment first.
