During the quarterly sales results announcement for the country, sports car marque Porsche had revealed its plan to launch the 718 flagship. And now the brand-new 718 Cayman GT4 RS is here in India at Rs 2.54 crore (ex-showroom). This GT4 RS sits atop the 718 model range.
The 718 Cayman GT4 RS is powered by the same Porsche’s race car-derived 3,996cc, flat-six cylinder, naturally aspirated petrol engine producing 493bhp and 450Nm. This powerful motor is only mated to a specially tuned-up seven-speed dual-clutch automatic gearbox.
The 718 flagship can go from zero to 100kmph in just 3.4 seconds, while it achieves zero to 200kmph in 10.9 seconds. In addition, this sports car has a top speed of 315kmph.
Porsche has made numerous upgrades to the 718 Cayman GT4 RS to improve its driving dynamics, engine cooling, and aerodynamics. The key highlights of this two-seater sports car include use of carbon-fibre reinforced plastic for bonnet, front fenders, a huge rear spoiler, and the front wing. It also gets newly designed air inlets to cool mechanicals, and model-specific tyres plus brakes.
