      2019 Toyota Camry arrives at dealerships

      Ahead of its anticipated launch on 18 January, the new-gen Toyota Camry has been spotted at the dealership. This eighth-generation Camry is based on the Toyota New Global Architecture (TNGA). The vehicle comes with a fresh set of cosmetic and feature upgrades.

      In terms of design, the new-gen Camry gets a V-shaped grille with chrome inserts that is complemented by wraparound headlamps on either side. The sporty front end is highlighted by a large hexagonal air dam. The sides are adorned by sleek ORVMs and large 18-inch alloy wheels. The new model is expected to be offered in multiple colour options – silver, black, white, graphite, red and brown.

      As for the interior, the new Camry will be offered with a three spoke multi-function steering wheel and a twin-dial instrument cluster with an MID in the centre. The new model will also feature a redesigned dual-tone dashboard with a touchscreen infotainment system in the centre. The India spec model will be offered with a nine-speaker JBL system, wireless charging, three-zone climate control, head-up display, power adjustable driver seat, cruise control and more. Reports indicate that the new model will also be offered with Auto Glide control option which helps in slower declaration and claims to offer better fuel efficiency figures.

      Mechanically, the new-gen Camry will be powered by a 2.5-litre, four-cylinder petrol engine that generates 174bhp of power at 5,700rpm and 221Nm of torque at 3,600rpm – 5,200rpm. The vehicle will also feature a full-electric mode and an Eco mode.
