In the Mercedes-Benz hierarchy, it finds a place between the E-Class and S-Class.

      CLS explained in detail

The CLS is only available as one fully loaded model and thus gets all the features available with the model range. This includes dual digital displays, brown and black dual tone interiors with leather upholstery, wood and aluminium inserts, multi-zone climate control and a Burmester music system. There’s auto park assist, active brake assist and adaptive high beam assist for the LED headlamps. In term of exterior details, the CLS sports the latest Mercedes-Benz grille, tail lamps and of course that sloping roofline that gives the car its name and signature look.
Powering the this car is a Euro-6 compliant 2.0-litre four-cylinder diesel engine producing 245bhp/500Nm with power going to the rear wheels via a nine-speed AT a.k.a the Mercedes 9G-tronic gearbox.

In terms of direct rivals, you get the BMW 6 Series Gran Coupe which offers a similar kind of styling and power. In this price bracket you also get specific variants of the big SUVs like the Audi Q7, BMW X5 and the Volvo XC90 in the R-Design package.
