      2018 Jaguar F-Pace SVR test mule images surface

      Jaguar's F-Pace created quite a splash when it was launched in the international  market. Its  impressive performance and luxury features gathered a lot of admiration. This time around, fresh images have surfaced which indicate that the automaker has been working on offering a further enhanced performance variant named the F-Pace SVR. Though there is no word on its official debut, we believe it might happen sometime in 2018.

      The new abbreviation SVR stands for ‘Special Vehicle Operations’ which is basically the automaker’s special tuning division which helps in delivering high performance versions. Under the hood, the current F-Pace if powered by a 3.0-litre petrol and diesel engine option which put out about 380bhp and 300bhp of power respectively. Mated to an 8-speed automatic unit the vehicle is capable of attaining a top speed of 257kmph. The SVR version will feature a combination of drivetrain, suspension, interior and body enhancements which makes it a better performer. The powerful variant is expected to do about 322kmph.

      The SVR variant from Jaguar will not be launched in India anytime soon and it might only happen by 2018. The automaker is yet to launch the F-Pace in India and will do it via the CBU route. When introduced here,  it is expected to be priced around Rs 1 crore. Additional details on the F-Pace SVR will be known at a later date.
