      2018 Hyundai Elantra GT to be showcased at Chicago Motor Show

      Hyundai has released teaser shots of the 2018 Elantra GT ahead of official unveiling at the 2017 Geneva Motor Show. The Hyundai i30 which is named as the Elantra GT in US and Canada markets will get more America relevant updates and design upgrades. Based on the regular 2016 Elantra, the new version will share similar specs.

      The Elantra GT will get 2.0-liter inline-4 engine from its elder sedan sibling which puts out 145bhp of power. Reports also suggest a possibility of 199bhp I4 from Sport model or 126bhp I4 from the Eco model to also be on offer. To render it a sportier appeal the vehicle gets red accents on shift boot, steering wheel and around the start button. More details about the vehicle will be known at its official unveiling at Geneva Motor Show. 

      Recently, the Korean automaker has also announced the prices and specification for the UK-bound i10 five-door hatchback. Introduced at the 2016 Paris Motor Show, the new model is not just 28kgs lighter but also claims to be about 22 per cent more rigid. The vehicle is offered with a set of petrol engines like turbocharged 1.4-litre motor, naturally aspirated 1.4-litre engine and turbocharged 1.0-litre engine which generate 138bhp, 98bhp and 118bhp of power. The diesel on the other hand get 1.6-litre motor in three states of tune, namely 94bhp, 109bhp, and 134bhp.
