Porsche revealed a Mission E Cross Turismo Concept at the ongoing 2018 Geneva Motor Show.

Appearance wise, the Cross Turismo looks like a beefy Mission E with its raised roof-line, ride height and body cladding. The rear single strip of LED tail lights is a new Porsche signature which can be seen on all the Porsches right from the Cayenne and Panamera to the upcoming 911. The cabin appears to be production ready instead of belonging to a concept car with proper four seats and a functional dashboard. The funky looking 20-inch wheels are wrapped in 275/40 section tyres. The roof is a large panoramic glass and there are all the Porsche hardwares present inside the cabin.

The German sports carmaker states that the Mission E Cross Turismo is a study of electric cross utility vehicle (CUV). Porsche showcased the Mission E Concept back in 2015. The Cross Turismo is essentially a station wagon derivative of the Mission E which might actually hit production someday. It measures 4.95 metres in length and 1.99 metres in width. Powering it is an 800-volt electric lithium-ion battery pack with a range of 400 kilometres. It boasts of an induction charging which will be a common sight in the future Porsche owner’s home energy system. The two permanent magnet synchronous motors PSM with a total output of 440kW (600bhp) is the same as the Mission E Concept and lends the Cross Turismo a four-wheel drive layout. The electric CUV can do a 0-100 acceleration in less than 3.5 seconds and reach a speed of 200kmph in under 12 seconds. Furthermore, multiple accelerations are possible in direct succession without loss of performance, unlike other electric vehicles according to Porsche.
