The Volkswagen electric family is growing with leaps, bounds and is producing cars with no grilles. Yes that’s right, the future of personal transportation is the electric way but in the process, cars will lose their signature element- the grille.

However, we can live with that if the car looks this good.

The ID Crozz, as it is called, combines VW’s electric quest with the hottest growing segment in the global car market- SUVs and crossovers, and in this case, it’s a coupe SUV. There is the minimalist VW grill less electric face, large rear overhang, big wheels and contrast coloured roof. The interior is a minimalist setup and has seating for five. What is noticeable is a nearly empty dashboard which gets only a single touchscreen to control all the functions.  This car is expected to get all of VWs latest autonomous driving technology as well as safety packages.

This crossover is underpinned by the German automaker’s new MEB platform and is powered by two electric motors and battery packs that give it an equivalent output of 302bhp and a range of 500km! On top of this, you can also plug it into a 150Kw charger that can you get 80 per cent of the total juice in 30 mins.

There is a lot riding on these new wave of electric cars and this ID Crozz is a glimpse of what we can expect from Volkswagen in the future.
