2017 BMW 4 Series line-up revealed

BMW has updated is 4 Series family which includes a coupe, a convertible and a four-door Gran Coupe. The update is similar to the one seen on the 3 Series. The minor facelift comes with design tweaks and more features along with M-Performance upgrades. The new updated 4 Series will go on sale from March this year without any changes in the prices.

The visual changes include reworked bi-LED headlamps with a slightly tweaked nose. The LED fog lamps come as standard with an optional adaptive-LED unit. While at the rear, the full-LED taillights get horizontal lighting signature with a redesigned chrome finished apron. BMW also has added two new body paint with four new 18- and 19-inch alloy wheel designs. On the inside, the updates include a chrome and electroplated inserts all around the cabin, double stitched dashboard with a “Multifunctional Instrument Display” instrument panel, and three new upholstery and trims to choose from.

BMW has also stiffened the suspension of the new 4 Series which according to the manufacturer gives a sportier handling without a compromise on ride comfort. The new 4 series also gets a new diesel variant – the 418d with the turbocharged 2.0-litre four-cylinder diesel engine developing 148bhp. Except for these updates, the powertrain of the 4 Series line-up remains unchanged.

The range-topping M4 also got the similar update in its coupe and convertible guise. The adaptive full-LED headlights and rear lights come as standard. It also gets an updated navigation system and ConnectedDrive features, new leather upholstery and interior trims with the Multifunctional Instrument Display. The power figures remain the same with 425bhp from the twin-turbo 3.0-litre inline-six.

In India, we only get the 4 Series in the M4 variant, and we believe that BMW India will update the same after it hits the road internationally.
