The much awaited Volvo S60 Cross Country is finally set to be launched in the country tomorrow. The vehicle was first showcased at the Detroit Motor show that was held last year. The vehicle is based on S60 sedan and this one in particular has been designed to tackle rough roads as well.
The 2016 Volvo S60 shall be powered by a 2.4-litre D4 engine that generates about 188bhp at 4,250rpm and 400Nm of torque at 1,750 to 2,500rpm. The powerful engine would come mated to a 6-speed automatic gearbox. It is believed that the company may also introduce a 2.4-litre 5-cylinder diesel engine that may generate about 174bhp of power at 4,000rpm and about 420Nm of torque at 1,500rpm to 3,000rpm.
Speaking about dynamics, the Volvo S60 will measure 4,638mm in length, 1899mm in width and 1,539mm in height. The vehicle will also be loaded with safety features like Antilock Braking System (ABS), Electronic Brake Assistance (EBA), Electronic Brake Distribution (EBD) and Hill Descent Control (HDC).
