After releasing the camouflaged images of the 2016 Skoda Superb, the Czech car manufacturer has now released the first official sketch of the next generation Superb. The sedan will be unveiled in mid-February 2015 in Prague, and will be showcased to public at the 2015 Geneva Motor Show scheduled to commence in early March. The sedan will go on sale in mid-2015, while the India-launch is expected to go on sale by early 2016.

The new Skoda Super shares most of its styling cues with the VisionC Concept. The aggressive front fascia features a prominent grille, flanked by sweptback headlamps with integrated LED daytime running lights. The bumper features a wide aidam complemented by newly designed fog lamps. The muscular hood gets creases flows upwards to meet A-pillar.

The upcoming Skoda Superb is based on the Volkswagen Group’s MQB platform. It is claimed to offer an improved cabin space, boot capacity, and features newly formulated infotainment and connectivity, and safety equipments. The new model will be 75kg lighter than its previous model, which in returns offer improved performance and fuel efficiency.

The next Skoda Superb will be offered in two petrol and two diesel fuel options. The petrol range includes 1.4-litre and 1.8 litre TSI units, while the oil burners are expected to be the 1.6-litre and 2.0-litre TDI units.
