Renault’s Duster has been a hot seller in India with over 1.4 lakh units being sold since its inception in India. At the ongoing 2016 Auto Expo event in the country, Renault has unveiled the new Duster that shall further help the brand gain a stronger foothold in the country. The 2016 model comes with over 32 new style and feature upgrades. Renault claims that the New Duster features an evolved “T4 Electrical & Electronics” architecture along with a new “CMO10” engine compartment that low end torque for better drivability, enhanced safety and superior driving experience with excellent acceleration.
Under the hood, the new Renaut Duster comes with K9K 1.5L engine that has been tuned to deliver best performance and fuel efficiency figures. The SUV gets a Cruise Control with Speed limiter. To tackle Indian roads comfortably, the vehicle comes gets 210mm of ground clearance and with a boot space of 475-litres that can be expanded to 1636 litres, you can indeed tag along enormous amounts of luggage comfortably.
As for the exteriors, the 2016 Renault Duster is available in new color option - Cayenne Orange. The vehicle gets 16” Gun Metal Finish Alloy wheels, Waterfall LED Tail Lamps, Waterfall LED Tail Lamps, Hawk Eye Cluster Headlamps, Electrically Adjustable and Foldable ORVM’s with turn indicators, Firefly Fog Lamps, Waterfall LED Tail Lamps and Firefly Fog Lamps. The interior in AWD comes in Crimson-Black Theme and sporty Double Spacer Fabric. While the other variants get Cedarwood-Black Interiors theme with Premium Embossed Fabric. Moreover, the new Duster also comes with a Dual Tone Soft Touch dashboard.
The 2016 Renault Duster comes loaded with safety features like ABS, EBD with Brake Assist, ESP and Hill Assist and Dual Airbags. As for features, it comes with Rear View Camera with guidelines, New Auto-up/down window with anti-pinch, New Centre Fascia, New Media Nav and New Automatic Air Conditioning. The new Duster though does not get major cosmetic upgrades, it comes with important feature upgrades like 6 speed Easy – R Automated Manual Transmission that makes busy city traffic comfortable.
The new 2016 Renault Duster comes forth as a strong proposition in its segment owing to new age style and big on space and ruggedness. The new Duster with a new ‘CMO-10’ Engine Compartment, better fuel efficiency and 6 speed Easy – R Automated Manual Transmission option, its scores better over its competitor like the Ford Ecosport. On the pricing aspect, it could be priced around Rs 10-12 lakh.
