Kawasaki, a popular name in performance motorcycle segment has introduced two new Ninja models in India – ZX-10R for Rs 16.4lakh and ZX-14R for Rs 17.9 lakh (Ex-showroom, Delhi). With improved technological upgrades, the 2016 models offer enhanced performance and reliability. The 2016 Ninja ZX-10R features an improved 998cc inline four-cylinder engine that is Euro IV compliant and generates about 197bhp of power.
The 2016 ZX-14R on the other hand does not get major updates except for an updated ECU in Euro IV compliant engine that generates about 197 bhp of power and 158Nm of torque. The bike’s suspension system has been retuned for improved high-speed stability. The 2016 Ninja ZX-10R on the other hand gets a ‘brake force modulability’ that allows riders to adjust braking force based on riding conditions.
The bike comes with a safety net that includes six-axis Inertial Measurement Unit that comprises of Bosch IMU that measures five axis while the sixth axis is done by Kawasaki ECU unit. The bike comes with launch control, engine power mode selection, traction control and brake management system. The 2016 Kawasaki ZX-10R has been designed to offer ‘20 per cent less inertia’.
