      Japanese carmaker Honda has just launched the new facelifted Amaze model at a starting price tag of Rs 5.29 lakh (Ex-Showroom, Delhi). The new facelift trim is offered in six petrol variants and four diesel variants. Apart from the standard six colour options - majestic blue metallic, taffeta white, carnelian red pearl, urban titanium metallic, golden brown metallic and alabaster silver metallic, the new facelift is also offered in new Bluish titanium colour.

      Under the hood, the new Amaze continues to be powered by 1.2-litre i-VTEC engine that generates about 87bhp of power and 109Nm of torque. While the diesel trim gets a 1.5-litre i-DTEC engine that generates about 99bhp of power and 200Nm of torque. Apart from five-speed manual gearbox, the new model is also offered in CVT automatic in petrol trim. Features like Power steering, front and rear power windows, air conditioner, heater and adjustable steering column has been as standard across trims.

      The Amaze E i-VTECH is offered as an entry level petrol trim that comes with five-speed manual transmission option. Offered for Rs 5,29,900 the trim comes with features like central locking, glove compartment, digital odometer, adjustable headlight and chrome grill. The E i-DTEC also carries the same features offered by its petrol counterpart along with ABS with EBD. The diesel trim is offered for Rs 6,41,900.

      The Amaze S i-VTEC features everything that is offered in E trim while additionally offering features like CD Player, Rear Seat Centre Arm Rest, Rear Seat Headrest, Accessory Power Outlet, Multifunction Steering and Height Adjustable Driving Seat. The trim also offers a power antennae and Audio System Remote Control with Bluetooth Connectivity and USB with Auxiliary Input. The Amaze S is offered for Rs 5,95,400. The diesel S trim gets ABS with EBD along with all the regular features offered on the petrol. The diesel id offered for 7,29,900.

      The Amaze SX i-VTEC gets all the features from the S trim while additionally offering features like AntiLock Braking system, EBD, Automatic Climate Control and Air Quality control. The SX trim also offers rear window defogger, Outside Rear View Mirror Turn Indicators and Electric Folding Rear View Mirror. The SX trim is offered for Rs 6,80,500. The diesel gets all the features from the SX petrol trim and is offered for Rs 7,82,000.

      The Amaze S CVT i-VTEC gets all the features from the SX except for Outside Rear View Mirror Turn Indicators, Rear Window Defogger and Electric Folding Rear View Mirrors. The vehicle comes with five-speed automatic transmission option. The Amaze S CVT is offered for Rs 7,19,900.

      The Honda Amaze VX i-Vtech is offered in five-speed manual transmission option while carrying forward all features from the SX trim. It additionally offers front fog lamps. The VX MT trim is offered for Rs 7,19,900. The diesel trim gets all the features from the petrol trim and is priced at Rs 8,19,900.

      The VX CVT gets all the features from S CVT while additionally offering Automatic Climate Control, Air Quality Control and Front Fog Lights. It also features Electric Folding Rear View Mirror, Rear Window Defogger, Driver Airbag, Passenger Airbag, Crash Sensor and Alloy Wheels. The XV CVT is offered for Rs 8,19,900.

      Honda Amaze is not exactly a feature rich car, but it does come with basic features that enrich your driving experience. Going by personal choice, the SX trim does offer a slightly value for money proposition. Moreover, with the Honda reliability and quality, the slightly higher cost is not a bad deal.
