Chevrolet has recently announced that it will unveil the next-generation 2016 Spark aka Beat on April 2, 2015 at Seoul and New York Auto Show. The company has also released the teaser image of the hatchback. Ahead of its official unveiling, the interior of the hatchback has been leaked on the web.
The cabin of the 2016 Spark features a motorcycle-inspired instrument panel that merges well into the stylish center console. The dashboard looks feature loaded and there are several curves and buttons visible on the dash. Going by the pictures, it is visible that the styling & components of the car has been shared with the Opel Karl. The car's dual tone dashboard houses two uniquely designed air vents on either side, new instrument cluster with a speedo dial in the center and tachometer on the left. It is equipped with a multi-functional steering wheel with control for audio and telephony, touchscreen, glove compartment and gear knob.
Based on the Opel Karl / Vauxhall Viva, the next generation Spark features the familiar lower hexagonal and upper grille, flanked by new headlamps and fog lamps. Its rear door handles are mounted near the C-pillars, which are also offered on the current model. The exact technical specifications of the car are yet to be announced. But, we expect the new model to get a naturally aspirated three-cylinder 1.0-litre engine that is good for 75bhp. Power will transmitted to the front wheels via a five-speed manual gearbox.
