Janapanes automaker Toyota has unveiled the 2016 Innova at the Auto Expo event here. The new Innova is built on a new platform which the company prefers to call it as ‘Toyota New Global Architecture’ (TNGA) which is believed to be stiffer and lighter than the current model’s platform. Toyota has highlighted the new Innova as tough and powerful model designed for the Indian market.
The new 2016 Innova comes with a 2.4-litre GD diesel engine mated to a 6-speed automatic to generate about 147bhp of power and 360Nm of torque. The MUV gets projector head-lamps with LED daytime running lights, new bumper infused with new fog-lamps and a big hexagonal grille with two slats in chrome. The vehicle gets a little bigger and wider than the existing model.
