Suzuki’s Gixxer has largely appealed to young bikers in the country owing to its new age styling and impressive performance. At the ongoing 2016 Auto Expo event in Noida, Suzuki introduced a new shade of ‘Candy Antares Red’ on the Gixxer SF variant. Until now, this new shade was only available on the Gixxer trim. Moreover, the company also announced the introduction of a new dual-tone colour - Metallic Lush Green / Glass Sparkle Black in the Gixxer variant. The new dual-tone combination was however not showcased at the event.
The Suzuki Gixxer SF that was showcased at the venue does not get any major technological upgrades except for a new color addition. It continues to be powered by 154.9 cc single-cylinder air-cooled engine that is mated to 5-speed gearbox that generates about 14bhp of power and 14Nm of torque. The Gixxer SF FI on the other hand shall be offered only as a MotoGP Edition. Technical details on the Gixxer SF FI shall be revealed by the company at a later date.
