India’s leading utility vehicle maker Mahindra has unveiled a variety of new and refreshed products as well as some concept models at the ongoing Auto Expo. Leading the brand’s Auto Expo range is the all-new XUV Aero concept, the e2o Sports and the SsangYong Tivoli.

The XUV Aero is Mahindra’s take on the controversial coupe crossover body style. Designed in-house at the Mahindra Design Studio in Kandivali, Mumbai, the XUV Aero looks a bit like the XUV 500 but move along the side and the rear-end and it’s a completely different car all together. The BMW X6-like sloping roofline is steeply raked and merges with the boot-lid.

Under the hood, there’s a high power version of the mHawk diesel engine which makes 210bhp of power and allows the Aero concept to leap from 0-60kmph in under 6 seconds. Now Mahindra has revealed that it is keen on gauging the viewers’ response on this concept and accordingly will decide whether to put into production or not.

Next up is the e2o Sport which is a sportier derivate of the regular e2o that’s on sale currently. Mahindra is calming a driving range of 200km and a 0-100kmph time of just 8 seconds, thanks to the instant torque delivery that is usually associated with electric motors.

Also on display is the Korean automaker SsangYong’s latest crossover, the Tivoli. On sale globally for quite some time now, the Tivoli is likely to be offered in both petrol and diesel models here in India and will compete in the highly contested crossover segment.
