The American carmaker Chevrolet has just unveiled the 2017 Essentia and the Beat Activ concept at the 2016 Auto Expo event in Noida, India. Apart from these two, the company also showcased the much awaited Spin MPV at the event. At the event, Kaher Kazem, GM India President and MD highlighted that the company mirrors aspirations of the Indian customers and compete in vital segments in the Indian market.
Expected to be powered by 1.3-litre multijet diesel engine and mated five-speed manual transmission, the Chevy Spin is expected to generate about 89bhp of power and 200Nm of torque. Apart from this a petrol engine with an automatic transmission may also be introduced in the country. The vehicle is due for launch sometime soon next year and could carry a price tag of around Rs 8 lakh.
