      2015 Volkswagen Jetta facelift launched; priced at Rs. 13.87 lakh

      The 2015 Volkswagen Jetta facelift has been launched in the Indian car market. The sedan is available in three trim levels- Trendline, Comfortline and Highline, and the entry level variant is priced at Rs. 13.87 lakh, while the top-spec model is tagged at Rs. 19.77 lakh (ex-showroom, Mumbai).

      The VW Jetta facelift gets changes to both exteriors and interiors. On the outside, the VW Jetta facelift gets a new front fascia with new triple slat chrome, flanked by new LED headlamps. The other changes include new squared shaped fog lamp enclosure, new alloy wheels and slightly modified bumpers. Inside the cabin, the sedan has new steering wheel (Available on the new Polo and new Vento) with switches for cruise control and audio. The rear profile of the SUV looks much cleaner, featuring new boot lid with integrated spoiler and new tail lights. Its flared wheel arches have been fitted to the same 16-inch alloy wheels. Other additions include refined rain gutters on the roof and slightly modified roof. The sedan gets six airbags, cruise control and fatique detection as standard features.

      The Volkswagen Jetta facelift is available in both petrol and diesel fuel options. The petrol version of the sedan is propelled by the same 1.4-litre TSI unit that churns out a maximum power output of 122bhp and a peak torque of 200Nm. The oil burner is the same 2.0-litre TDI turbo diesel unit that is capable of producing 138bhp of power and 320Nm of peak torque. Both six-speed manual and twin-clutch DSG automatic gearbox are on offer.
